Celtics Escape with 105-104 Victory Over Cavaliers in Game 2
Jayson Tatum Leads Celtics to 2-0 Series Lead

Jayson Tatum scored 37 points, including the game-winning basket with 23 seconds remaining, as the Boston Celtics held off a late rally by the Cleveland Cavaliers to win Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series 105-104 on Sunday.
The Celtics, who won the series opener on Friday, now hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 3 will be played in Boston on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers led by as many as 20 points in the second half, but the Celtics chipped away at the lead and eventually took the lead for good on a Tatum three-pointer with 3:38 remaining.
After Darius Garland tied the game with a three-pointer with 27 seconds left, Tatum drove to the basket and hit a layup over Evan Mobley to give the Celtics the lead for good.
Tatum also had 10 rebounds and five assists for the Celtics. Jaylen Brown added 23 points and Robert Williams III had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Darius Garland led the Cavaliers with 25 points, followed by Evan Mobley with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Caris LeVert added 18 points off the bench.
The Cavaliers had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Garland's three-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark.
